Saw this cool little big guy yesterday. It's longer than my thumb and a bit wider. Any guesses as to what kind of beetle it is? Must get out my Texas Bug Book! :o)

Update: Figured out what this beetle is... It's a Click Beetle. Not so great in it's larva form, but this one was a giant among beetles. The usual length is .5" - 1.25". This one was at least 2" long. Massive Granddaddy Click Beetle. It was dying, so I let it go under a bush. The ants had a very fine meal, to be sure ;).
